At Casa Cannavino you can relax and re-charge your batteries in the peace and quiet of rural Le Marche, Umbria’s less trampled neighbour. The region offers spectacular mountainous scenery, a beautiful climate, long sandy beaches and the best in traditional Italian cooking and hospitality.

Casa Cannavino is a beautifully restored traditional farmhouse on a quiet country lane, with its own private, fenced pool, that has been designed with relaxation in mind. Laze in the hammock with your book, enjoy lunch under the shade of walnut tree to the distant sound of sheep-bells or lounge by the pool with a glass of prosecco and watch the eagles catch the thermals over the blue mountains.

The villa has four comfortable double/twin bedrooms, with cotton sheets and feather pillows. All the beds have bedside tables and reading lights. There are three bathrooms, two ensuite, all with good pressure showers. Downstairs, there is a large kitchen , dining room and a sitting room with leather sofas and a log-burning stove. The villa has been tastefully restored using traditional materials, with large timber beams, terracotta floors and exposed stone walls. Modern conveniences including tv/dvd, central heating, hi-fi, dishwasher and washing machine ensure that you have as restful and relaxing a stay as possible. We also keep the house stocked with a selection of books, DVDs and board games. Outside there is a large shaded dining terrace, a sun terrace and a brick barbecue. A closeable gate, keeping the kids safe, leads down to the poolside which is furnished with loungers and umbrellas. We provide guests with both bathroom and beach towels.

The kitchen has been fully-equipped to make self-catering easy, though with 4 great restaurants in the local village alone, and fresh pizza from Gianni's daily, you’ll use it less than you think. The local village of Sant’Angelo in Pontano is 3km away and is stocked with everything you need; 4 restaurants, a baker, butcher, grocer, small supermarket, 3 coffee bars and a Friday fish-van
.

Local activities include horse-riding, fishing and tennis. Whole days can be spent sightseeing in the beautiful hill-towns of the region or wine tasting in nearby vineyards. Golf fans have the championship course at Conero, less than an hour's drive, where they have clubs for hire. For the adventurous, the nearby National Park offers hang-gliding in the mountains, kayaking, quad-biking and miles of hiking trails. Long stretches of sandy and child-friendly Adriatic beaches are only 30 minutes drive away.
